Mr. Alvin Lee Walker, 68, of Troy passed away 5:20 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at Troy Cumberland Presbyterian Church . Brother Mitch Boulton will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Troy Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Nick Strain, Drake Walker, Mike Walker, Jamie Walker, Jr., Zach Taylor and Cody Brackey.

Mr. Walker was born September 15, 1947, in Obion County, son of the late Alvin T. and Edith (Hooper) Walker. He married Shelia (Puckett) Walker June 1, 1973. She survives. Mr. Walker was a truck driver for 25 years and a former Volunteer Fireman with the Troy Fire Department. He was also a member of the Troy Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is also survived by one daughter and fiancé, Fawn Strain and Jamie Walker of Troy; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Strain of Troy, Drake Walker of Union City, Harleigh Walker of Troy, Jamie Walker, Jr. of Obion, Dustin Walker of Obion, Leia Smith of Troy and Hannah Walker of Troy and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Alvin T. "Bub" Walker and two brothers and three sisters.
