Alma Geraldine "Jerry" Spicer, 88, of Samburg passed away Sunday morning, April 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother George Hutchison will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Pallbearers will be Justin Spicer, Chase Taylor, Will Harris, Dylan Taylor, Ethan Spicer and Bobby Johnson.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .

Jerry was born July 14, 1932, in Samburg, daughter of the late Welzie and Julie (Townzen) Wallace. Highly respected in their community, J.T. and Jerry were owners of the former Pier Restaurant and Southshore Resort, both in Samburg.

As a Navy wife, Jerry learned the meaning of sacrifice as she cared for their six children while J.T. served on several tours of duty overseas, and they moved often, living from West Virginia to Puerto Rico, Florida to California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Spicer of Samburg on November 16,2005; and by her sisters, Pearl Dyer, Cathleen Mundy and Jean Gray; and one grandson, Glen Spicer Jr.

Jerry is survived by her children, Glen (Patti) Spicer of Georgetown, Colorado, Cissy (Steve) McComb of Heber, Utah, Rick (Millie) Spicer of Samburg, Eddie (Tammy) Spicer of Union City, Robert (Elisha) Spicer and Tim (Marlene) Spicer all of Samburg; her two brothers, Robert (Janie) Wallace and Kenneth (Alice) Wallace all of Lexington, South Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
