Allene Edwards' Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Allene Edwards, 89, of Union City passed away 11:03 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Obion County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Danny Ams, Daniel Gooch, Taylor Gooch, Dalton Gooch, Morgan Quinton and Allan Carter.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Mrs. Edwards was born October 1, 1927, in Lee County, Mississippi, daughter of the late Marvin Talmadge and Lena Bell (Cowsert) Coley. She married L.Z. Edwards December 31, 1972. He died August 23, 1998. Ms. Allene had been employed at Leader Federal Savings & Loan and First National Bank where she served as a teller for 27 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Danny Ams of Union City; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Carol Pittman of Union City; three grandchildren, Lynn Gooch of Troy, Allan Carter of Lenoir City, Tn. and Tina Wilson of Florida; one step granddaughter, Glenda Butler of Union City; ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded by one brother, David Eugene Coley.
