Mrs. Alberta Barton, 93, of Obion passed away 4:30 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Elbridge Cemetery. Angie Howe will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barton was born December 30, 1926, in Obion County, daughter of the late James D. and Bertha (Terry) Rodgers. She married Millard "Bill" Barton February 7, 1947. He preceded her in death November 15, 2001. Alberta was a homemaker and a member of Troy First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Annette Simpson (Terry) and Lavonda Belangia (Richard) all of Katy, Texas and Terrie McClain of Union City; three grandchildren, Bradley Simpson (Melissa) of Houston, Texas, Kristie Morris of Martin and Robert Belangia (Teresa) of Chesapeake, Virginia; and five great grandchildren, Wesley Simpson and Nicolas Simpson both of Houston, Texas, Devon Morris of Martin and Robert Belangia and Olivia Belangia both of Chesapeake, Virginia.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, David McClain; her great grandson, Noah Simpson; her sister, Opal Stover; her brother, Guy Rodgers; and her nephew, Damon Stover.
