Mr. Albert Airon Moore, 67, of the Clayton community died 11:42 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dennis Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born August 18, 1943, in Missouri, son of the late Albert Merlin and Wanda (Byerly) Moore. He married the former Maudie Ward on June 25, 1970. She survives. He had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Company, Kinkead and Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility in Tiptonville.

He is also survived by his daughter, Karen Anderson of Missouri; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Albert Moore, Jr. and Suesan Moore and Michael Lynn Moore all of Troy; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, George Robert and Susan Moore of Union City, James A. Moore and Clarence Arnold and Marylan Moore all of Troy; three sisters, Linda Faye Moore of Kansas City, Missouri and Paulette Moore and Louette Moore both of Texas; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Shane Moore, his sister, Mary Margaret Burden, his brother, Jimmy Lee Moore and his sister-in-law, Laura Moore.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Michael Moore, Albert Moore, Jr., Wade Pinion, Jamie Fagan, Eric Murphy and J.R. Groeneveld.
