Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy. Rev. Donald Dale Reeves will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Norman, Butch Butler, Mike Calhoun, Jerry Grooms, Dustin Cloar and Greg Correa.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Griffin was born January 23, 1938, in Obion County, son of the late Mary Elizabeth (Mitchell) and Abraham Griffin, Sr. He married the former Mary Demetrus Asher on June 29, 1959. She died November 2, 1999. He was a retired timber cutter for Storey Sawmill in Troy.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Tony Cloar of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Julie Griffin of Troy; his sister, Betty Petty of Troy;  five grandchildren, David Griffin of Kenton, Mandy Correa of Obion, Jenni Doughten of Union City, Abbey Griffin of Martin and Dustin Cloar of Troy; four great grandchildren; and two nephews, Richard Griffin and Tommy Griffin both of Troy.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Roberson Griffin; and two brothers, Harry Griffin and Joe Griffin.
